• West Michigan man to spend next decade in prison for trafficking fentanyl (mlive.com) — A 44-year-old Wyoming man has been sentenced to more than 11 years in federal prison after police uncovered a large fentanyl and carfentanil operation during a shooting investigation at his Wyoming apartment building. Investigators say they seized over a kilogram of fentanyl, nearly a kilogram of carfentanil, a loaded revolver, and drug-packaging tools, with Wyoming Police and the DEA credited for the case.

The system, already piloted in the Emergency Department, now extends across hospital buildings, parking lots, and walking paths, aiming to better protect local frontline healthcare workers from workplace violence.
