Here are a couple of our favorite fall places. Where are your favorite places to go in the fall?
With fall comes pumpkin patches, apple orchards,and corn mazes. Two places that we've visited this fall that we really liked were Applewood Orchard in Lakeville and Sever's Corn Maze in Shakopee. Applewood Orchard was really cute. The kids got to go on a tractor ride to the orchard to pick the apples. They also had kiddie-sized tractors for them to ride and a giant hay stack for the kids to play on. I guess they also have a corn maze that we didn't go through. The highlight of the day (for me at least) was the freshly made apple juice. I've also heard Emma Krumbee's in Belle Plaine is fun too, but haven't been there yet.
And Sever's Corn Maze has become an annual tradition. If you haven't been there yet, it's lots of fun for the kids. Our favorites are bouncing on the jumping pillow, wading in the corn pit, navigating the maze, seeing animals, eating greasy fair-like foods and picking out pumpkins. If we hadn't had screaming, overtired kids, we would have also done pumpkin throwing and pony rides. Lots of good photo ops here, too. Oh, consider yourself warned, everyone who goes in the corn pit will get corn kernels in their crotch. Popcorn anyone?
