No Threat Found At Farmington High School After Report Of Person With Weapon
Police say what a caller reported as a weapon on school grounds Thursday afternoon was something else entirely.
FARMINGTON, MN — A report that a person was seen on Farmington High School grounds with a weapon Thursday afternoon turned out to be a false alarm, according to the Farmington Police Department.
Officers received the report at 2:15 p.m. Thursday and responded to the school along with the Farmington Fire Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Dakota County Sheriff's Office, Lakeville Police Department and Burnsville Police Department, police said.
After clearing the scene, officers determined the person seen on school grounds was holding a media tripod and was not in possession of a weapon or considered dangerous, according to police.
