Brief: 360 Communities Announces Change in Leadership

As a result of a strategic review of the organization and its mission by the board of directors, Mary Ajax will no longer be the president and CEO of 360 Communities, effective immediately. 

"In her time with 360 Communities, Mary made significant positive contributions to our communities," said Board Chair Pete Diessner. "We hope to build those contributions as we move forward."

The board of directors has established a search committee to select a new leader our organization. In the meantime, Jeff Mortenson, leader of strategic development, will serve as the interim president and CEO.

Volunteers created 360 Communities 40 years ago to serve the needs of south suburban communities. The board took action to change the organization's leadership in part to ensure that 360 Communities will be able to continue to fulfill this role in the future. The leadership change will not impact any of the critical services we provide to the many people who depend on us.

While change for any organization is difficult, this is an opportunity to renew our commitment to our mission at a time when the role we play in our communities has never been more important. We also believe that this transition is an opportunity to challege 360 Communities staff and leadership to transform the work that we do and the way we deliver services and support to people in our communities.

360 Communities will continue to employ a unique appraoch to ensure school success, confront domestic violence and address the root causes of poverty. With 40 years of strong partnerships and a network of services, we will continue to give hope to people adn engage communities to make positive changes.
