Dakota County Park to Throw Annual New Year’s Eve Party

Snow or no snow, the annual Dakota County Park’s New Year’s Eve party will go on.

The party is Saturday, Dec. 31, 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Visitor Center, 860 Cliff Road, Eagan. In the event of no snow there will only be two activities not available—sledding and snowshoeing.

The ball drops at 7:59 p.m. after an evening of family fun, which includes two miles of candle-lit hiking, live animals, kids’ activities, storytelling by Roy Edward Power, magic by strolling magician Matt Dunn, and a free make-your-own s’mores buffet.

Seven large bonfires will be ready for warming hands and hot concessions available for purchase. Admission is $8 per person if pre-registered by Dec. 29 and $10 per person at the door. Youth age 5 and under are free. Parking is also free and available onsite or at Wood Crest Church, 525 Cliff Road, Eagan with a shuttle to and from the vent.
