We have all heard about the gloom of the economy and we see it every day on the news and in print. But even though there are those that want to point out all the negativity there is much positivity out there as well.

Buying a house....is not that hard and you first time home buyers need not be scared. For it is you whom the economy is depending upon to start driving the housing market.

Think about it, every month you pay your rent to someone who puts that money in their pocket. They use that for potential tax deductions and to accumulate wealth and take trips and send their kids to college. Not to mention if you are in an apartment there is always that one noisy pain in the rear neighbor.

Well why not accumulate wealth on your own, take pride in your own home. It really is not has hard as you might think. In many case today it is actually cheaper to own then it is to rent. And at least when you own, you get the benefit of the mortgage payments and the potential tax deductions.

Sure getting pre-approved might be like a financial physical but it sure is not a colonoscopy.

And right now with interest rates where they are at, it is a cheap time to buy and you have the ability to buy more home because of the low rates. In addition there are many first time buyer programs available. Some allow assistance from a financial standpoint by giving you money to help buy and some even are set up to give you additional tax credits for an extended period of time. Of course there are guidelines for these programs but who knows, maybe you fit in one of the boxes.
