Kids often like to help out around the house, especially the younger ones, so why not let them get involved in some spring cleaning for you? It is a great way to keep them busy while teaching them some responsibility. If you make it fun, they will be more likely to do it and maybe even do it on their own in the future. Some ideas for what they may be able to help with are below:
· Check kitchen for expired items – a great way for kids to work on learning dates, they can go through the pantry or the refrigerator
· Clean up toys in their bedrooms and cabinets, toss out broken ones

· Clean the baseboards using a damp rag to wipe them all down, this is easy for kids since they don’t mind being on the floor
· Washing out the garbage cans in the house – if it is warm enough they can do it outside with a hose, otherwise, have them use the laundry tub
· Pick up trash that blew in and was covered with snow around the yard as the snow melts
