1. Watch your dog so he doesn’t eat candy, especially chocolate! If you dog does eat candy, call the vet immediately. Some candy, like chocolate are poisonous for dogs.
2. Make sure the kids don’t leave candy wrappers lying around as dogs will eat them which can cause digestive problems.

3. Don’t let Fido chew on the pumpkins, this can create an upset stomach.
4. Watch out for cords or wires. Your dog can get tangled in them and hurt himself or he may chew them.

5. If you have candles in your pumpkins, keep the dog away so he doesn’t burn himself or tip the pumpkin over and start a fire.
6. All the kids in costumes at the front door and noises can be scary for a dog. If your dog isn’t used to this, put him in another room so he doesn’t run away or bite someone out of fear.
7. Don’t force your pup to wear a costume if he doesn’t want to. If your dog does wear a costume, make sure it fits properly and he can still see, hear, and breathe properly.
