I was reading an article yesterday where the government feels that if they are lucky they reached half of those eligible for the HARP ( Home Affordable Refinance Program) program. Now when most of us see the word HARP we think of someone bugging or nagging us to do something. In this case it does not mean that but one could view it that way. here is why, if you have not looked at refinancing, you should. This program is specifically designed for people that lost equity in their homes and allows them to get near to market interest rates. The process in same cases is easier then a regular refinance. The one catch is that you need to have got the loan you presently have.
Here is a link to some common questions and answers:https://www.fanniemae.com/content/fact_sheet/harp-frequently-asked-questions-lender-servicer.pdf.
So consider this me harping on you to call and see what you can do. Contact your present lender or since I am right done the street....contact me. Save some money!!
