Meet the Huerta sisters: Moriah (Paulette) and Isabella!

"Hello! My name is Moriah Huerta and I am a senior playing the role of Paulette Bonafonte. This is my second musical and fifth show including the fall play and Bravo at Eastview. I am also involved in choir and train in classical solo work.

Paulette is a brash and funny hair stylist who acts as a friend and confidante to Elle. Together, they help each other to achieve their dreams of the perfect man. Her fashion sense could only be described as flamboyant and utterly wacky. She screams energy in numbers like "Bend and Snap", doing a crazy dance like nobody's business, and flaunting the most outrageous, psychedelic getup! But her softer side is also revealed throughout the show, especially in expressing her love for Ireland and dog Rufus.

Eastview theatre has truly helped me step out of my comfort zone and grow both as a performer and a person. Before joining theatre my sophomore year, I was pretty shy! Since then, I have met some of my best friends through the program. The kids involved in this show are some of the nicest, down-to-earth people I've ever met. The talent of all involved is simply astounding, and I'm so proud of how hard the cast, techies, and instrumentalists have worked to make this such a fun and amazing show!!!"

The Huerta Sisters:

Moriah (Senior) and Isabella (Freshman) are one of four sibling pairs in the production. But performing together is no new experience for the sisters. From a young age they have participated in various plays, sung at events, and been in choirs and on worship team together at church.

Isabella: "It's so cool to have an older sister who is there to support me and to experience my first high school show with. I'm having an absolute blast!"

Moriah: "I can't believe my sister is finally a freshman!! I'm so happy to spend my last musical with Isabella. This is an experience we've shared that I'll never forget! And I count myself lucky to have been in an Eastview production last year with my older sister Anessa as well (a benefit of being the middle child for sure)!

Keep checking the blog to find out about more siblings sharing the stage in Eastview High School's upcoming production of "Legally Blonde the Musical".
