Rosemount Man Wins $100,000 Lottery

Jim Schellberg of Rosemount got his winning ticket from a Holiday in Eagan.

A Rosemount man started out the new year with a bang by winning $100,000 through the Minnesota Millionaire Raffle.

Jim Schellberg found out he was a lucky winner when his ticket matched the winning number 455587, which was drawn on Jan. 1 to win the $100,000 prize. According to the Minnesota Lottery's website, the couple claimed the prize at the lottery’s headquarters on Jan. 3.

Schellberg said "that he had to look at the ticket quite a few times before it sunk in,” according to the Minnesota Lottery's website. "His wife, Krislyn, agreed that the win is 'hard to fathom.'"
