Rosemount Seeks Residents' Opinions to Measure Performance

The is conducting a survey throughout the month of December in hopes of better measuring its performance. 

The survey, which is linked to the 'news' section of the city’s homepage, has 11 questions, which will include topics such as public safety, public works and recreation services. Residents can fill the survey out online until Dec. 31.

“There’s general agreement that local governments should measure themselves,” said Rosemount City Administrator Dwight Johnson in a city press release. “Some things that cities do are difficult to measure, so sometimes the best alternative is to measure customer satisfaction with a service. This survey is intended to help fill that need.”

Rosemount is one of about 100 cities partaking in the survey through the Minnesota State Auditor’s Performance Measurement Program. This is the first year the city has joined up in such efforts beause "this is the first year of the State Auditor's program," Rosemount Communications Coordinator Alan Cox said. 

According to the city, "The League of Minnesota Cities will compile the results of the online survey and supply the outcome to the City of Rosemount early next year."
