EAGAN, MN — Yesterday was a great day for Minnesota Vikings fans, for the most part. The team dominated a division rival — the Detroit Lions — on the road. Kirk Cousins and his offense looked electric, and things seem to be on the right track after a slow start to the season.

Unfortunately, star WR Adam Thielen came up injured on his amazing touchdown play Sunday, and he wasn't medically-cleared to return to the game. Thielen ran into the wall that separates the field from the fans.

According to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport, Thielen injured his hamstring. However, it doesn't appear to be a serious injury.

Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of time to heal before the next game. The Vikings play the Washington Redskins on Thursday Night Football.

The good news is Minnesota (5-2) will play at home this week, and the Redskins (1-6) appear to be the easiest team on their entire schedule this year. So the Vikings could make it through the game without Thielen.

The Vikings will play the Redskins at 7:20 p.m. on Fox, Amazon Prime, and NFL Network Thursday. Minnesota is currently 15.5 point favorites over Washington, according to Vegas Insider.
