Apple Valley Man Killed In Eagan Crash On Highway 77
Authorities say the driver was ejected from the pickup truck. The man's son survived the crash.

EAGAN, MN — A 59-year-old Apple Valley man died Thursday in a crash on southbound Highway 77 near Highway 13 in Eagan. Authorities say just after 12 p.m., a GMC Canyon pickup ran off road, struck the guardrail, and rolled down the embankment.
The driver, Thomas Robert Niederer, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Robert Thomas Niederer, 26, a passenger, was belted and suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash.

Robert is the driver's son, according to the Pioneer Press.
