Mail thieves in Eagan are looking for sensitive documents they can use to steal identities.

EAGAN, MN — Police in Eagan are warning residents about mail thieves in the city looking to steal your identity. In the past month alone, authorities have seen about 10 mail thefts in Eagan.
Police are asking people in Eagan to report all suspicious vehicles or behavior in local neighborhoods, especially if someone is seeing rummaging through mailboxes.
If you have sensitive documents you need to mail, avoid theft by dropping it off at the post office or use one of the blue USPS mailboxes. Otherwise you can buy a mailbox that locks.
