Eagan Police Investigate 3-Year-Old's Death As Homicide

Eagan police announced Monday that the death of a child on Oak Ridge Circle is now being investigated as a homicide.

EAGAN, MN — Eagan police announced Monday that the death of a child on Oak Ridge Circle now being investigated as a homicide. On June 7 at 3:02 p.m., Eagan officers were called to 1645 Oak Ridge Circle regarding an unresponsive three-year-old boy.

Police, along with Eagan fire crews and Health East Paramedics, arrived and attempted lifesaving measures. The child was transported to United Hospital where doctors were unable to revive him, according to a news release.

The child has been identified as Zayden Ace Lawson. Police say a preliminary investigation into the incident has shown the child was subjected to blunt force trauma and this investigation is now being treated as a homicide.
