Eagan Police Suspend Ground Search For Bryce Borca

The family of 23-year-old Bryce Borca released a statement thanking law enforcement and the hundreds of volunteers involved in the search.

EAGAN, MN — The Eagan Police Department has suspended its ground search for 23-year-old Bryce Borca near the Minnesota River. However, officers continue to canvas the area in search for information.

"At this time we do not need any volunteers," Eagan Police Chief Roger New said on Monday.

Borca's family released the following statement:

"This is an incredibly difficult time for us and our main focus is finding our son. Our family would like to thank everyone involved in the search for Bryce, including the Eagan Police Department, county special operations, our friends, family and countless volunteers. We are so very grateful for the outpouring of love and support from the community, and we pray for Bryce's safe return."

On Oct. 30, Eagan police were alerted to Borca's disappearance. He was last seen near Yankee Doodle Road and Terminal Drive.

Local police, state, and federal investigators, and about 250 volunteers began searching for him.

The search ended at nightfall, and Borca was not located.
