Eagan Teen Critical After Being Ejected in Car Crash

The highway patrol says she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

An Eagan teenager is in critical condition after suffering serious injuries in a crash in North Dakota Saturday.

The Grand Forks Herald reported that Mikailah Corum, 17, of Eagan, was in critical condition after being ejected from a 2006 Saturn Ion that was totaled in a one-car crash west of Northwood, N.D. Saturday night.

Corum was one of three occupants in the car. The driver of the Saturn is unnamed at this time.

The Saturn was heading eastbound on State Highway 15 when it began to drift off the right shoulder. The driver overcorrected and the car went into a ditch and rolled.

All three occupants of the Saturn were transported to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.

The highway patrol say Corum was the only one in the vehicle not wearing a seatbelt.

Valley News Live reported that charges are pending against the driver.
