Man Convicted In Killing Of Woman Outside Lakeville Daycare
Atravius J. Weeks, 33, of Richfield was sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole.

LAKEVILLE, MN — A Richfield man was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison without the possibility of parole after he was found guilty of killing a 29-year-old woman outside a Lakeville daycare facility.
Atravius J. Weeks, 33, of Richfield, was convicted by a Dakota County Jury of two counts of first-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder on Tuesday.
Weeks shot and killed his ex-girlfriend, Cortney G. Henry, on the morning of June 22, 2021, according to police.

The jury deliberated for approximately three hours before finding Weeks guilty, and he was sentenced later that day.
"I wish to thank the jury for its verdicts ensuring Mr. Weeks will be held accountable for his heinous act," Dakota County Attorney Kathy Keena said in a statement. "My deepest sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Ms. Henry for their great loss."
