Man Fled To Mexico After Eagan Sexual Assault: Police

EAGAN, MN — A man charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct in Eagan has fled to Mexico, according to prosecutors in Dakota County.

Juan Diego Medina Cisneros, 30, was charged with third and fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct and faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted. Cisneros sexually assaulted a female co-worker multiple times, including at a job site in Eagan, police said.

Cisneros fled to Mexico in April, after the woman reported the rape to the company owner, according to the criminal complaint. He previously was living in Burnsville, police said.

The charges were filed against Cisneros on July 6, court documents show. A nationwide warrant was issued on the same day for his arrest.

The woman reported that on May 20, 2021, Cisneros sexually assaulted her while she was cleaning a bathroom on a job site, according to the criminal complaint. After the assault, Cisneros threatened to harm her if she told anyone and said nobody would believe her, according to police.

Another incident happened at a job site in Roseville, the criminal complaint states.
