Man Sentenced In Eagan Murder Of 3-Year-Old
The victim, Zayden Lawson, was a foster child.

EAGAN, MN — A man was sentenced Tuesday for murder in connection with the death of a 3-year-old foster child. Charles Wayne Homich, 28, was given a sentence of 25 years in prison.
The victim, Zayden Lawson, was a foster child in the care of Homich’s girlfriend, Eagan resident Zeporia Fortenberry.
Homich pled guilty April 23 to one count of murder in the second degree (commission of a felony- malicious punishment of a child).

Zeporia Fortenberry, 32, pled guilty to one count of manslaughter in the second degree. She was sentenced June 20 to 41 months in prison.
