No Injuries in Eagan Grease Fire

Eagan city officials say an early morning apartment fire Wednesday on Duckwood Trail was caused by unattended cooking.

The fire caused no injuries to occupants, according to a news release.

Officials say unattended cooking is the top cause of fires in the United States, and say that residents should never leave cooking unattended, especially when cooking with oils or grease.

Stove top fires can spread quickly to kitchen cabinets. Don't use water on a grease fire. Authorities recommend buying a small fire extinguisher from one of Eagan's local stores and keep it in kitchen.
