• District 196 students recognized by National Merit Program (hometownsource.com) — Eagan High School seniors are among 36 District 196 students honored by the National Merit Scholarship Program for scoring in the top 5% nationally on the PSAT. The list includes seven Eagan semifinalists and eight commended students, highlighting strong local academic achievement and upcoming scholarship opportunities these teens can now pursue.
   

• Rep. Craig Secures Nearly $2.3 Million in Federal Funding for Rosemount Fire Department to Hire Additional Firefighters (house.gov) — From Eagan, Rep. Angie Craig announced nearly $2.3 million in FEMA SAFER funding to help the Rosemount Fire Department hire nine more firefighters and keep at least 24 on duty around the clock. Additional grants are also headed to Lakeville, Shakopee, and Woodbury departments, strengthening emergency response across the south metro communities Eagan residents rely on.
