Eagan Hyvee Reopens After Power Outage, Fire

EAGAN, MN — About 30 firefighters from three different cities were on the scene of the new Hyvee grocery store in Eagan Friday afternoon. The store experienced a power outage, and then a roof fire, when emergency generators tried to kick in.

Crews received a call at 12:43 p.m. Friday. The store reopened at around 5 p.m.

There were no injuries reported, but firefighters from Eagan, Burnsville and Mendota Heights rotated frequently in the 96-degree heat.
