Eagle Rescued In Eagan Is Euthanized

Original article from Monday morning: "We might have an eagle whisperer on our hands." For the second time in a year, Minnesota State Trooper Paul Kingery has rescued an eagle from the side of a busy Twin Cities interstate. His most recent save happened April 16 on Interstate 35E in Eagan.
The eagle was found lying on the shoulder with a possible broken wing, the Minnesota State Patrol said. The bird was transported to the University of Minnesota Raptor Center.

Last March, Kingery helped save an eagle on I-494 – also in Eagan. The eagle – later named Trooper by Raptor Center staff – had internal injuries. Once it healed, Kingery was able to help release it back into the wild.
