Legacy Girls Gymnastics Compete At The Twisted Moose Invitational

The USAG team from Legacy Gymnastics in Eden Prairie competed in the 4th annual Twisted Moose Invitational Feb. 21st & 22nd, 2015.

The Legacy level 7 team started the weekend off with another 1st place win, and every single athlete earning a 9.0 or higher on floor. In the 9-11 year old age division, Elodie Prew placed 1st on beam, 1st on floor with a season high of 9.825, and 1st in the all-around with a 37.225. Megan Steensland placed 2nd in the all-around, and teammate Chantal Xifra rounded out the 1-2-3 all-around finishes with a 1st place vault, 1st place bars, and a 3rd place finish in the all-around. In the 12 year old and older age division, Nicole Thompson placed 1st all-around for the second meet in a row. Ellie Suppes was 1st on bars, and Chelsea Landis was 1st on floor with a 9.55.

The level 8 team showed strong improvement this past weekend despite being down several team members for injuries. In the 8-12 year olds, Dani Miller was 3rd on floor with a team high score for 9.375. Teammate Emma Siefker helped out the team score for the second week in a row with a floor routine that has her only using her one arm. In the 13-14 year old age division, Abri Click had her highest beam score of the season and contributed to the team score with her 8.950. Claire Middleton was 6th on bars, also contributed to the team score.

The level 9 team continues the small but mighty dominance for a 2nd place team finish. In the 12-13 year old age, Emily Koch was a floor score of 9.275 for 6th place. In the 14 year old age division, Callie Schlottman was 1st on beam, 1st on floor, and 1st all-around. Teammate Aisling Polley, was 1st on vault. In the 15 and older age division, Maya Silverman received back into the action, competing in the all-around for the first time this season, earning a 34.975, and a 3rd place finish in the all-around.

The level 10 team continues to increase their team score with each meet they compete in, coming in 2nd place. In the Junior age division, Lauryn Mattson was the team high all-around score for 36.900 for 5th place. Riley Danielson was 6th on beam with a 9.300, and teammate Annie Johnson was 4th on beam with a 9.500. In the senior age division, Jessi Rondeau was 3rd all-around, and Jenna Horner was 5th all-around with a 34.225.
