The program aims to spark interest in careers like electrical work, architecture, and advanced manufacturing, while helping local employers eventually fill persistent skilled-trades job openings.
   

2. St. Paul man faces 3 felonies in Eden Prairie garage burglary (eplocalnews.org) — Eden Prairie residents are learning more about a recent apartment garage burglary where police say a man entered a secured Martin Blu garage, left with a stolen bicycle, and was found nearby with tools and ammunition. The St. Paul suspect now faces three felony charges in Hennepin County, with bail set and an omnibus court hearing scheduled in early October.
   

3. Two charged after motorcycles top 100 mph in Eden Prairie (eplocalnews.org) — Drivers in Eden Prairie are hearing about felony charges after police say motorcyclists hit speeds up to 120 mph on Highway 212 near Valley View Road, weaving through traffic and fleeing officers. Two riders from Bloomington and Shakopee now face fleeing charges in Hennepin County, with bonds posted and omnibus hearings set for late October.
   

4. Sweet revenge as Eagles roll over Maple Grove (eplocalnews.org) — Eden Prairie football fans just watched the Eagles avenge two straight losses to Maple Grove with a 21-14 home win at Aerie Stadium, powered by a dominant defense and clutch late-game plays. The victory boosts Eden Prairie to No. 2 in the state rankings and sets up a big Friday night showdown against defending champion Edina at Kuhlman Stadium.
