Dementia in cats

Dementia, or cognitive dysfunction, is something to look for in geriatric cats

Is your elderly cat not using the litter box? Be proactive and set up a thorough physical exam as often times not using the litter box can be a medical problem. Arthritis? Infection? It’s important to rule out systemic disease with exam, blood work and a full urine analysis. If systemic pain or disease is not found, maybe they have Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CDS). Let us help you manage them for their best quality of life and ultimately, maintain that bond we all cherish with our furry friends.
