Edina Education Fund hosting 20th anniversary luncheon

(February 2016, Edina, MN) - On Monday, February 22, 2016, the Edina Education Fund will host its annual Show and Tell Luncheon, this year celebrating its 20th anniversary of enhancing educational opportunities within the Edina Public Schools.

The Show and Tell Luncheon will be held from 11:00AM – 1:00PM at St. Patrick’s Church located at 6820 St. Patrick’s Lane in Edina. Approximately 400 people attend this event each year. There is no cost to attend, but donations are welcome. The community is strongly encouraged reserve a seat by registering online at www.edinaedfund.com/showandtell. Registration will close on Wednesday, February 17.

This year’s luncheon will honor its founders as the Ed Fund looks back at its 20 year history and the span of grants and support that have been provided to the Edina Public Schools District. In addition, future plans and initiatives the Edina Education Fund will undertake in partnership with the district will be unveiled.

Since 1995, the Edina Education Fund has provided over $4 million in support to the Edina Public Schools. “We are proud of the hundreds of educational experiences that have been made available to students as a result of our funding,” said Tracie Huhn-Carr, Edina Education Fund executive director. “The Show and Tell Luncheon provides a great opportunity to celebrate this great work, and invite the community to get even more engaged in our efforts.”

Founded in 1995, the Edina Education Fund is an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the continued academic excellence of the Edina Public Schools. The Edina Education Fund secures private, supplemental funding to support valuable education experiences and innovative projects in the Edina Public Schools. Funds raised augment school system revenues that are provided by taxes, state aid, and other parent and student led fundraising efforts. Over $4 million in grant funding has been provided to the Edina Public Schools through its efforts.
