Edina HS Boys Lacrosse Season Kicks-Off Against Minnetonka

2015 Edina High School Boys Lacrosse Season Preview

The 2015 Edina Boys High School Lacrosse Season will open this week with a rivalry game against the Minnetonka Skippers. The game will be played at Kuhlman Field at 7:30PM on Thursday, April 16th. Minnetonka is currently 1-0, after defeating Woodbury High School 6-4 in a low scoring battle.

Edina returns 8 out of 10 starters from a year ago and looks poised to have a breakout season in 2015. Edina’s strength starts on the defensive end led by returning Goalie, Junior Captain, Patrick Jackson. Jackson is a big lefty goalkeeper that has continued to develop into a great ball stopper. Edina also returns 3 of their top 4 close defenseman from a year ago in Senior Captain Tommy Olk, Junior Jack Foley, and Junior Anders Lindborg and returns their top long stick midfielder in Junior Noah Ostlie.

On the offensive end of the field, Edina returns 50% of their goals from 2014. Led by Junior midfielder John Marple (NCAA D1 Commit to Colgate University) and Junior attackman AJ Nelson, Edina has the firepower to produce a lot of goals in 2015. Senior midfielder Jack Wolfe and Sophomore midfielder Parker Rickert are both two-way midfielders that have proven their ability to score consistently. Two brothers, Senior midfielder Conor Halling and Junior attackman Hunter Halling have shown considerable improvement since 2014 and are expected to be major contributors for the offense.
