"Growing Up in Edina: A Show and Tell Exhibit"

"Growing Up in Edina: A Show and Tell Exhibit" features childhood treasures submitted by many generations of Edina and Morningside residents, as well those from the Edina Historical Society collection. In addition, children from various eras in Edina history are spotlighted, including children's author Nancy Carlson, Morningside pioneer Ella Grimes, early Country Club resident Ron Shirk, farm kid Frank Cardarelle, and hockey standout Casey Hankinson.

Former Edina kids remember dance programs at Wooddale School, the puppet wagon that traveled park to park during the summer, Clancy Drug Toyland, birthday parties at Queen Anne Kiddieland, the petting zoo at Southdale, cake walks, neighborhood friends and much more!

For more information on the event or to loan or donate your childhood treasure, call the museum at 612-928-4577 or email staff.

The exhibit is open during regular museum hours: Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to noon. Groups may reserve visits outside of museum hours.
