As one of Minnesota’s top civil litigation firms, the Minneapolis law firm of O’Meara, Leer, Wagner and Kohl heads into the final quarter of 2014, today its leaders say they are chalking up one of their most successful years--achieved in part to new leadership, their renewed efforts for collaboration and teamwork on behalf of their clients, as well as their unwavering commitment to “give back” to the community. “The addition of our new Firm Administrator, Shantel Schmale, is just the latest change we’ve made ‘behind the scenes’ to improve our relationships and the results that our clients value,” said Managing Shareholder Shamus O’Meara. “Shantel has already become a key player in how we work at our firm, a critical thinker who skillfully collaborates with our staff and attorneys to provide an efficient professional work product for our clients.”

“I’m able to look at the ‘Big Picture’ and then zoom in on those individual pieces to make sure that everything is going well internally for our clients and our employees,” said Schmale, who joined O’Meara, Leer, Wagner and Kohl last April. “I’m so excited to be here and to have this opportunity to work with people who are passionate about what they do.” In Schmale’s previous position as Business Office Manager and Assistant Admissions Director at Anthem College Minneapolis, her accomplishments included enhancing the college office’s workflow efficiency and being named Employee of the Year. She also mentored minority students and served on the college’s diversity committee, helping to foster a culture that provided empowerment through education. “Shantel is an outstanding role model for young people of color,” O’Meara said.
