Rain Garden Celebration on October 12, 2014

This is a public education event for observing and discussing the use of natural materials for effective storm water management

Please join Louann Waddick, Steve Wielock, and Heather Beal on October 12, 2014 from 3 to 6 PM to celebrate the completion of two major rain garden installations in the backyard of 4236 Crocker Avenue in Edina, Minnesota.

The Butterfly Rain Garden that is the showpiece of a larger landscaping scheme is also Louann and Steve’s capstone project for the Master Water Steward Certification Program presented as a partnership between the Freshwater Society and Minnehaha Creek Watershed District.

This certification program is designed to teach community leaders about the best practices for storm water management and pollution prevention. (BMPs).
