Seasons of Love

Songs of Love with Guest Soloist, Prudence Johnson

Edina Chorale has chosen Valentine’s weekend to celebrate different kinds of love in their Seasons of Love concert.  The cabaret-style pop concert will be held in the Mahon Center of the Church of St. Patrick in Edina (Valley View Road and Gleason Road) on Friday evening, February 12 at 7:30 PM and Saturday, February 13 at 3:00 PM.

The Chorale is delighted to announce that Prudence Johnson will be our guest soloist.  Ms. Johnson has been featured on A Prairie Home Companion (the feature film and radio show) and on concert stages across America.  In addition, the concert will feature Dan Chouinard on accordion and piano, Matt Senjem on bass, Andy Artz on drums, and the choir’s accompanist, Dr. Joshua Tompkins.  The concert will feature pieces by Gershwin, medleys from West Side Story and The King and I and some wonderful contemporary selections (including music by K.D. Lang, Annie Lenox and Billy Joel).

WIne, sparkling cider and desserts will be served at both concerts.  The Chorale hopes Seasons of Love will warm the hearts of young and old and will provide a musical bright spot in our long winter.
