Anoka Man Hid Grenade Launcher In Walls Of His House: Feds
The 50-year-old had expressed interest in joining the "Three Percenter" militia group, according to a federal indictment.
ANOKA, MN — An Anoka County man who expressed interest in joining a militia group is now facing federal drug and weapons charges, the U.S. Justice Department announced Wednesday.
The FBI said they found a rocket launcher and other weapons in a hidden room in the man's house, and that the man sold meth to a department source.
Darrian Mitchell Nguyen, 50, was charged Wednesday with possession of a machine gun, possession with intent to distribute meth, and possession of an unregistered firearm.

In April, the FBI launched an investigation into Nguyen based on information provided by a source, authorities said.
According to the FBI, the source said that Nguyen kept rifles, shotguns, handguns, a grenade launcher, and pipe bombs in "secret" rooms built within the walls of his home, the FBI said.

Nguyen also expressed interest in joining the Three Percenter militia group, "a loosely organized anti-government extremist movement," the FBI said.
Nguyen was also manufacturing and trafficking methamphetamine from his home, according to the affidavit
On Aug. 23, while at his home, Nguyen sold the FBI's source 7.1 grams of meth for $300, investigators said.
On Oct. 4, the source gave Nguyen four auto sears and a short-barreled rifle equipped with an auto sear, according to the affidavit. That same day, law enforcement arrested Nguyen and found several firearms from a hidden room inside the residence, including an AR-style firearm equipped with a grenade launcher and a short-barreled shotgun, the FBI said.
