Boy, 9, Shot In Head By 7-Year-Old Brother In Brooklyn Park: Police
The boy was shot after his 7-year-old brother found a loaded handgun in the home, police said.
BROOKLYN PARK, MN — A 9-year-old Brooklyn Park boy is expected to survive after he was shot in the head by his brother on Monday night, police said.
At about 10:40 p.m. on Monday, officers of the Brooklyn Park Police Department responded to the report of a shooting in the 7500 block of Fremont Avenue North.
The 9-year-old had a gunshot wound to the head but was conscious and alert when officers began emergency aid. He was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Monday's incident happened just weeks after a 3-year-old Hinckley boy fatally shot himself in the head after finding a loaded gun.
