Vincent Tyler Marcelo Babudro, a 21-year-old from Minnesota, went missing while visiting his aunt the Los Angeles area.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A search was continuing Thursday for a 21-year-old Minnesota man who went missing last week while visiting his aunt in Sun Valley, California.
Vincent Tyler Marcelo Babudro was last seen about 9 p.m. Thursday in the 8900 block of Helen Avenue and hasn't been heard from since. Babudro is white, 6 feet tall, 130 pounds with brown hair and eyes. He was wearing a blue and green T-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes and was driving a gold 2002 Volvo with Minnesota license plate number 037VGR.
His mother, Stacy Waller, said she traveled from Minnesota to be closer to the search effort. She said there hasn't been any activity on her son's bank cards since he disappeared.

She said police also checked to see if any new accounts had been opened in his name, but they found nothing. Babudro came to California to visit his aunt.

"He doesn't know anyone else in the state other than her," Waller said. "He left all of his clothes, his iPad."
Waller said her son wouldn't have simply run away, noting that he had recently bought a present for a female co-worker back in Minnesota, and he had contacted the woman via text message before he disappeared.
"People don't go buy a present and disappear," she said.
Anyone with information regarding Babudro's whereabouts was urged to call (213) 996-1800 to speak with Officer Hernandez.
After-hours and weekend calls should be directed to (877) LAPD-24-7. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers by calling (800) 222- TIPS.
"We're just running out of options, and it's been seven nights now," Waller said, pleading for public help finding her son. She said his distinctive gold Volvo station wagon should be easy to spot.
A GoFundMe page was also established to provide information about his disappearance and raise money to help in the search effort. Waller said the family has hired a private investigator.
