'Jaws Of Life' Frees Minnesota Bear's Head From Milk Jug: Photos
How did the bear get his head stuck in the first place? We may never know.

ROSEAU, MN — A 150-pound male black bear in northern Minnesota is free after getting his head stuck in a 10-gallon milk jug last week. How does one free a bear from a milk jug, exactly?
Leave it up to the jug-removal experts led by conservation officer Eric Benjamin.
Before doing anything else, the team drilled holes in the jug so the bear could breathe better. Smart, right?

Next, they tried using cooking oil so the jug might slide right off. OK, that flopped. This jug-removal stuff is harder than it looks.
Now it's time to bring out the heavy machinery. The Roseau Fire Department lent the team its "jaws of life" tool, normally used for extracting people from car crashes.
