Maple Grove Village Hall Burned: Cops Ask For Video Doorbell Footage
Police have launched an arson investigation after the historic Maple Grove Village Hall was burned Tuesday night.

MAPLE GROVE, MN — Maple Grove police launched an arson investigation into a fire at the historic Maple Grove Village Hall Tuesday night.
Just after 9:10 p.m., Maple Grove police and fire crews responded to the fire at 9391 Fernbrook Lane in Lakeview Knolls Park.
Firefighters quickly got the blaze under control, but not before the building suffered significant damage.

Investigators now want the public’s help in identifying the driver of a vehicle they said was captured on a surveillance camera just before the fire.
The vehicle of interest is likely a 2018-2022 white Chevrolet Equinox with dark-colored rims and a black antenna on the roof, authorities said.

Detectives are also asking residents to check their video doorbells and cameras between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. for the car.

The Maple Grove Village Hall was used for local government from 1939 until 1975.
The city of Maple Grove was officially incorporated in 1974, and a new city hall was built. Maple Grove Village Hall is now used by the city's Parks and Recreation Department.
Maple Grove investigators do not have any information that leads them to believe that this incident is connected to the fire at Lyndes' Greenhouse on Oct. 2.
"Persons of interest" have been identified in that case, and it remains under investigation, authorities said.
