Police Investigate Bathroom Message At Twin Cities High School As 'Potential Threat'
A message scrawled on the wall of a women's restroom at Blaine High School lead to a police investigation.
A message written on a Twin Cities high school bathroom lead police to investigate the incident as a potential threat. On Wednesday at about 1:57 p.m., the Blaine Police Department’s school resource officer assigned to Blaine High School was notified of an incident by school administration.
A message had been scrawled on the wall of a women’s restroom. Police say the message was "vague" but could have been construed as a potential threat.
The resource officer, along with several Blaine Police Detectives, began conducting an investigation into the incident.

An investigation was completed and investigators do not believe the message written on the wall has any credibility and do not believe there is any safety concern related to it, according to a news release.
Purported images of the message have been shared on Twitter, showing a message that reads, "2-9-17 will be Blaine’s bloodest day."

To ensure students feel comfortable and safe at school, police will be increasing their presence and there will be additional patrols throughout the day Thursday.
