Nicole Paradise, a nine-year resident of West St. Paul, is running for a seat on the City Council in Ward 3. A leading goal in Paradise's bid for a city council seat is to encourage and foster participation by community members in the life of the city. Her work, community involvement, and education are a solid foundation upon which to build further service to the city.
"I've gained a lot from being part of city and school district committees, events, and youth athletic association," Paradise said. "It's how I've come to know our community, and to build friendships and partnerships. It's been so valuable to me, and to my family. I really hope to see more people get involved so that they can feel as connected as I, and to see more people involved in the issues of our community. It's important that we work together to ensure that West St. Paul is a safe, fun place to raise families and grow old, and for businesses to locate and thrive."
Paradise's track record of community involvement includes:

"One of the easiest, and most direct ways we can impact our own futures is by voting," Paradise said. "This year, Ward 3 has a large slate of people seeking the chance to serve our neighbors. I hope people turn out to vote at the primary on August 14, and then at the November 6 election. It's a simple action with great impact."
Paradise, her family and friends will be out in Ward 3 during the next couple of weeks to introduce Paradise and her ideas and thoughts about West St. Paul.
In addition to her employment as a social worker for People Inc., Paradise is in school to earn her Masters of Public Administraion and Non-Profit Management. She is a mother to Ava and Jackson, and wife of Greg Rohleder.
