The heaviest snow for the Twin Cities metro area will fall on Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Another powerful spring storm is set to hit the Twin Cities metro late Tuesday night into Wednesday, bringing a mix of rain and snow before transitioning to heavy snowfall by Wednesday morning.
The heaviest snow will fall before midday Wednesday, with totals ranging from 3 to 5 inches across the metro, according to the National Weather Sevice.

Gusty north winds up to 35 mph will accompany the storm, potentially leading to reduced visibility and hazardous travel conditions.
The heaviest snow is expected south

Albert Lea and Rochester could see the highest totals, with an expected 8 inches and a chance for even more.
Faribault and Mankato also have a strong chance of heavier snow, with expected totals around 7 inches.
Wisconsin areas
Eau Claire, Rice Lake, and River Falls are in line for significant snowfall, with expected totals of 5-6 inches.
