Albertville Woman, 55, Killed In Snowmobile Crash

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MN — A 55-year-old woman is dead after a snowmobile crash in northern Minnesota over the weekend.

On Saturday at about 1:15 p.m., first responders were dispatched to report a crash on the Bearskin snowmobile trail, which is located about 30 miles north of Hibbing.

Authorities pronounced the woman dead at the scene. She was identified as Albertville resident Nancy Leann Griema.

The woman had lost control while navigating a turn, causing her to strike a tree, investigators said.

The woman's fatal crash happened just a day before a 12-year-old was killed in a similar snowmobile collision in the state.
