POLL: Keith Ellison Tied With Republican Jim Schultz In AG Race
A new poll finds that Minnesota Republicans could be on the verge of winning their first statewide race since 2006.

MINNEAPOLIS — The race between Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and his Republican challenger, Jim Schultz, is tied, according to a new poll.
The poll was conducted by Embold Research and commissioned by MinnPost. It found that 47 percent of respondents would vote for Schultz, and another 47 percent would vote for Ellison.
Another 5 percent remains undecided, the poll found.

The survey reached 1,585 likely voters across Minnesota between Oct. 10 and Oct. 14.
The same research found that Gov. Tim Walz leads Republican Scott Jensen, 47 percent to 42 percent, with 5 percent of people supporting a different candidate, another 5 percent undecided, and 1 percent saying they won't vote in the race at all.

Meanwhile, Democratic state Auditor Julie Blaha is tied with her Republican challenger, Ryan Wilson.
Democratic Secretary of State Steve Simon leads Republican Kim Crockett by 7 percentage points, though 10 percent remain undecided, the poll found.

Minnesota Republicans have not won a statewide race since 2006. However, Republicans have gained ground in races this fall since the U.S. Justice Department filed charges against nearly 50 people in a $250 million fraud case.
Three people have so far pleaded guilty in the case.
