Smoke Bombs Cause Evacuation at North High School
Five teachers were treated for smoke-related injuries at North High School.

At 10:15 a.m. on Friday, June 1, smoke bombs went off inside North High School and caused the entire school to evacuate, according to Ramsey County Sheriff's Public Information Officer Randy Gustafson.
The North St. Paul Fire Department, North St. Paul Police Department and the Maplewood Police Department all responded to the incident.
According to Gustafson, firefighters used fans to clear the smoke from the building. After about an hour, students and teachers were allowed back inside.

Five teachers who had a history of asthma were treated for smoke-related injuries, Gustafson said. No one was taken to the hospital.
"Today was the last day of school for seniors, so it was probably a senior prank," Gustafson said. "If we can determine who is responsible, there will be criminal charges filed."
