Back in May, Aranda had agreed to a sentence of 19 years in prison, the maximum allowed under the Minnesota sentencing guidelines.

The boy, whose family lives in Woodbury, survived the fall despite suffering life-threatening injuries as a result. However, he continues to recover and has undergone multiple surgeries. He has also suffered complications from his injuries.
