Federal Initiative Launched to Improve Response When Autistic People Go Missing (town.news) — Federal health officials chose Rochester to unveil a new National Autism Missing and Endangered Person Alert Initiative aimed at improving responses when autistic people go missing. The city was highlighted because Rochester Police and the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office have run the highly successful Project Lifesaver tracking program for more than 15 years, offering families a proven local safety resource.
