Minneapolis Man, 63, Pleads Guilty To Stalking MPR Radio Host
Patrick H. Kelly was convicted of stalking a DJ in 2015. On April 8, he pleaded guilty to stalking a different DJ.

RAMSEY COUNTY, MN — A 63-year-old Minneapolis man pleaded guilty on April 8 in Ramsey County to one count of stalking a Minnesota Public Radio host.
Patrick H. Kelly, of Minneapolis, targeted and harassed a DJ for 89.3 The Current — one of MPR's music stations — authorities said. The behavior occurred between June and December 2021, according to police.
The plea deal calls for Kelly to serve 180 days in prison. He is set to be sentenced on June 17.

According to investigators, Kelly sent the woman flowers and chocolates, mailed lewd letters, made phone calls, and came to the woman's home despite her telling him not to.
The woman successfully filed a harassment restraining order against Kelly, which he violated, according to investigators.

The woman said Kelly's behavior "completely changed her life," the criminal complaint said. She said she hired 24-hour private security, became fearful to run or go for walks alone in her neighborhood, and was mentally exhausted from the constant anxiety of never knowing when Kelly would show up at her home.
Her husband was constantly "on edge" due to Kelly, police said.
In 2015, Kelly pleaded guilty to stalking a different 89.3 The Current DJ. In that case, he was sentenced to 270 days in prison and had to pay more than $9,000 in restitution.
