Great Minnesota Birthday Party
Help a child have a happy birthday! The CAP Agency food shelf in Shakopee accepts donations of birthday bags containing cake mix, frosting, and party supplies.
Imagine a child's birthday going by without any presents. Unfortunately when a family is struggling to put food on the table, it is hard to provide the extras like a birthday party or a present. One organization has been helping by providing over 480,000 birthday bags to children in need since 1994. Cheerful Givers is based in Eagan, Minnesota. They create birthday bags filled with toys, games, candy and more for children age 3 to 12.
You can stop by the Mall of America Sears Court on Saturday, March 31st from 1-3 PM for the annual Great Minnesota Birthday Party. At this year's event they will celebrate their 500,000th bag with a variety of fun festivities.
