Looking for The Perfect Kid?
We are launching a four-week series at Meadow Spring Community Church on parenting and building stronger families beginning Sunday, April 29.
Are you looking for The Perfect Kid?
Facing challenges raising your kids? Are there times you wish you could just walk into a store and purchase The Perfect Kid? Life would be so much easier. Welcome to parenting, and no, it doesn't get any easier.
We love our kids from the moment they take their first breath and we want to be the best parents possible. We provide for them, love them, direct them, carry them, pay for them – but let's be honest, some of life's highest highs and lowest lows are often associated with parenting and trying to be the best parents possible.

When you combine the ages of my two kids, I theoretically have 47 years of parenting experience under my belt. If you add my wife's 47 years to that, the two of us have a combined 94 years of parenting experience (theoretically!). That means we should know what it takes to be a great parent – right? Truth is, we have made a lot of mistakes and look back and now see things we would do differently if we had the chance.
There lies the frustrating part – we don't get a second chance at parenting. It is an "on-the-job" learning and training experience. You really don't know how to parent a 12-year-old until you have a 12-year-old in your house. And if you have multiple kids, each kid is different so parenting one child one way doesn't always work for parenting another child the same way.

That's why we are launching a four-week series at on parenting and building stronger families beginning this Sunday, April 29th at 9:30 am.
In this four-week teaching series, you will hear how we tend to pursue great experiences with our kids at the unintentional expense of developing solid and life-altering relationships. You will learn just how much influence you as a parent can have on your child's life today and who they will be tomorrow. You will also discover what to do when a good kid goes bad.
This series is obviously for parents. Parents of every child – young and old. It is also for grandparents, couples who want to have kids, and singles who want to get married and raise a family. In other words, this series is for everyone!

BTW...if you could list some of the top joys of parenting and some of the top frustrations of parenting – what would they be? What's your experience? What have you done right? What would you do differently if you could? I'd like to hear your opinions!
